There is a really good chance I’ll delete this as soon as I wake up, but there’s just enough gumption left in me tonight to post stupid, floaty, twirly, schmoop with my Cecil and Carlos (that no one really cares about, but oh well)

Rurouni Kenshin Kyoto Inferno (The Live Action Movie)

I just got back from watching Rurouni Kenshin 2: Kyoto Inferno with a bunch of really good friends and I have a lot of words. So much words. So many I can’t hold them so I’m going to lay them all out here and hopefully they come close to making sense because Ruroken the liveaction 2 was amazing??!??! AHHH???!!?! Also the theatre was very very very packed so I was very happy to know that rurouni kenshin meant a lot to other people like it did to me when i was a child! I can’t wait to see the next installment coming out on September 24 because they left it in a cliffhanger I’M SO MAD.

Okay so, let me start by saying that I grew up watching the anime version of Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X it was called then) on tv. I would watch it religiously every night as a child and would be very upset if I missed an episode. imagine how sad i felt when it stopped airing in the Philippines. :(

To have it brought back to life in Live Action form was so very very very exciting for me that I went and watched the first installment and here’s my review of it almost two years ago (its not much really lol). I had my reservations with movie adaptations of famous anime but the first live action movie of ruroken really delivered so I had high hopes for this one!

I’m going to put it under a read more because while I can promise this will be completely spoiler free, I can’t promise that I won’t rant a lot about certain things so here goes!

was there really a need to mention me here? HAHAHA
But omg I share the same sentiments as my friend Meg here. Overall, it was an epic movie and Director Ohtomo never failed to deliver it superbly. The things I loved about the movie were tons more than what I had a few issues with.

Carlos drawing a multi-dimensional cactus for Cecil since photos don’t seem to work. EXCEPT THAT IS NOT A CACTUS.  In my head Carlos considers everything that’s spiky and living in a desert to be cacti.  THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DON’T CONSIDER BOTANY AS A BRANCH OF SCIENCE CARLOS
